TRANSLATION
Humility, unpretentiousness, non-injury, for-bearance, sincerity, service of the teacher, cleanliness, steadiness, control of body and organs.

VERSE 09
इन्द्रियार्थेषु वैराग्यमनहङ्‍कार एव च ।
जन्ममृत्युजराव्याधिदुःखदोषानुदर्शनम्‌ ॥

anahankara eva ca
janma-mrtyu-jara-vyadhi-
duhkha-dosanudarsanam

Absence of desire with regard to sense-objects, and also absence of egotism, the perception of evil in birth, death, old age, disease and sorrow.
